Mt. Tabor Baptist Church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Mt. Tabor.

Triple Cord Groups

Groups of men and groups of women meet regularly in a small group setting to pray together and share personal struggles as well as discuss what God is doing in their lives.  Ecclesiastes 4:12 says “a threefold cord is not quickly broken.” Our members who participate in Triple Cord grow in their friendships and their spiritual unity with one another. You’ll find a group that is just right for you!

Young at Heart

Want to experience the best part of life?  Join the MTBC Young at Heart group designed for those who are retired or who have free time to participate in various activities.  Come with us as we travel Indiana in our comfortable bus.  Our adventures range from touring an Amish community to learning how pie crusts are made.  We not only have fun on our adventures, but we also strive to be of service to others with volunteer activities at Christian ministries.  Our goal is to spur each other on to good works with the end result of finishing well.  We want to accomplish this through activities where we can have fun together, have fellowship with one another and encourage one another.

Now, Where Can I Serve?

Family in park
Every Sunday morning at 9:30, we meet in different age groups to discuss topics of importance in the Christian life. We might watch a video series on a Bible passage, or read through a book by a Christian author together. Smaller children learn Bible stories and watch skits. No one is too old for Sunday School and we have classes for every age group.
Using modern technologies
3:14 College&Career
Our 3:14 group for singles and unmarried couples 18 and up meets every Sunday night at one of our member’s houses at 7:30. This is a great time to hang out with other college age people and get to know each other and encourage one another to grow.
Friendly people
IMPACT, the youth ministry of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church meets Sunday nights at 5:45.
Children resting
Each Sunday evening at 6:00, children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.
